Please don't hesitate to contact us should you wish to know more about or register with this group for us to grow together."

About Us

RAMOGI AUSTRALIA, a social economic and welfare community group, was formed in April 2022 by a group of Kenyans in Western Australia from the Luo Community.

The main purpose of forming the group is to inspire, connect and economically empower its members through education, networking, investment opportunities and cultural awareness.

We Believe that

Whatever affects one Ramogi member affects ALL its members.

OUR MISSION IS

To provide current and future members in Australia with a platform to care for one another, experience and enjoy "Luo" culture.

Our Vison is

A group anchored on family framework that seeks to connect and grow its members culturally and socio economically.

What we offer our Community

We are proud to bring together people from Western Australia and beyond to be part of and enjoy the Luo culture. Specifically, Ramogi Australia aims at:

  • Ramogi Cares Welfare Program - Members are (i) insured for last care expense through Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), and in addition (ii), receive modest financial support from the in-house welfare kitty here in Australia

  • Bringing not only all Luos in WA but Australia-wide under one umbrella

  • Integrating spouses and children of mixed backgrounds into Luo culture

  • Fostering Luo socio-cultural upbringing of the young ones by supporting our kids on one hand, and mentorship and guidance of our members on the other hand

  • Fostering cohesion and bonding through activities such as family days, kids days, sharing of meals together, partaking in organized social events such as celebrating the day of those living with disability, mental well-being and volunteers day

  • Supporting members to manage social challenges facing new migrants

  • Supporting students in need

  • Providing a platform for progress, networking and growing each other financially, career wise, & investments. Through the Linda Nyumbani program, members are now able to suppoty loved ones back home

  • Utilising the power of numbers to pull resources together to assist both here as well as back in Kenya
